A very british weekend

As I type I can hear the rain against the window. I have a left over glass of pimms and I am stuffed full of sandwiches and scones.

It has been a very British weekend.

 I feel incredibly blessed, happy, humbled and over joyed that I was able to celebrate this joyous weekend. Our Queen Elizabeth's diamond jubilee.

There has been a buzz of community. A real patriotic pride. I have never known the country and the people to feel such wonder and delight. Its has been a very happy weekend.

My prayers are with Prince Philip.

And for the Queen. 

 May long she reign over us.

God save the Queen.

Jubilee Jamboree 2nd June.

Calling all vintage addicts. Handmade lovers. Green fingered gardeners and afternoon tea drinkers.

 Chalkley vintage presents ; 

The Jubilee Jamboree.

Taking place on Saturday 2nd of June.

 10am until 5pm. 

A day of good old fashioned fun. 

There will be a vintage and handmade fair. 

A vintage tea room. A reclamation room. Face painting and games for the children. BBQ, homemade lemonade and there is an opportunity to plant a jubilee tree!.

All this is taking place in the grounds of a fabulous garden centre, which is in full bloom. So get your self down to;

God save the queen.

What a woman our queen is.

 Reining for 60 years, only Queen Victoria has reined longer!. And at the grand age of 85. I hope I look like her at 85.

She is dignified, ladylike, and has an air of authority whilst maintaing a relationship with her country. I am pretty much in awe of this great lady. We should be proud to be British when we have a queen such as Elizabeth II. And I for one shall be celebrating our queen and her diamond jubilee.

 I have already started planning a party for the weekend in June. But I must not reveal too much as I won't have anything to talk about nearer the time. Lets just say it shall be typically British and shall coincide with my daughters 4th birthday. Think bunting!. Think crowns! Think British!.

God save our gracious Queen,
